Ukrainian beaded necklace: what an artistic work!

I love jewelry, like every woman does. But! I am not very big fun of things from gold or silver. I am an ethnic jewelry lover. Firstly, wearing the ethnic jewelry, you can feel a SPIRIT of a nation. Secondly, the ethnic stuff is fashionable ALWAYS.
Especially I like Ukrainian beaded necklaces and bracelets. Ukrainian beaded necklaces being of different types (gerdan, sylyanka etc). I was wearing a sylyanka necklace for my wedding day. This sylyanka (choker) I bought in Vernisazh Souvenir Market of Lviv city (Western Ukraine). Also I have in my ethnic collection a big white gerdan with red roses, made in Ivano-Frankivsk region of West Ukraine.
When I came to North America for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised that Native American People have similar techniques in beading, like Ukrainians do. During my travel to South America I have noticed in Mexico the beading art of incredible beauty too (in jewelry, clothes and even Easter Eggs). Sure, I have bought something for myself there (a Mexican beaded bracelet).
But the best thing of my collection of ethnic jewelry it is a beaded necklace made by talented artistic family Bobyk from Ternopil city (West Ukraine). This is a modern piece on Ukrainian beading and it looks like a wreath of typical Ukrainian flowers (poppy, chamomile, cornflower, tagetes-flowers and forget-me-not flowers).
